Start with the Beginner Kite Intro — three hours covering kite control, safety systems and equipment setup, with no board involved. Almost everyone then continues into the Level 2 & 3 course, which is where body dragging and your first rides on the board happen. The minimum age is 8.

Courses run in a semi-private format with a maximum of two students per instructor. That means real coaching time rather than watching from the beach. If you want one-to-one attention throughout, ask about private sessions when you book.

Most people get their first rides within about 6 to 10 hours of lessons spread over several days, and reach independent upwind riding somewhere between 12 and 20 hours. It depends heavily on wind consistency, water confidence and how often you get out. Hurghada’s shallow flat water is one of the fastest places to learn.

Yes. Every course includes the kite, board, harness, helmet and water booties, plus full insurance on the kite equipment. You only need swimwear, a towel and sun protection. The Day Use programme is the exception — it is for riders bringing their own gear, though you can add a rental.

We teach to VDWS standards and issue VDWS certification — the Association of German Watersports Schools. VDWS levels run 1 to 7, and our course names map directly onto them, so a card issued here is recognised at schools across Europe and beyond.

Pick your course, choose a date and number of participants, and submit the booking form. We confirm availability by email or WhatsApp, usually the same day, and tell you your meeting time and transfer pick-up. You can pay a deposit to hold the place or settle in full on arrival — the payment methods currently accepted are shown at checkout.

A deposit secures your dates in high season, which is when courses fill up. The balance is due before your first session. If a gateway is not switched on for your preferred method, we will send you payment instructions directly rather than take card details through the site.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your first session. Inside 48 hours the deposit is retained and the balance is refunded. No-shows are charged in full. Sessions cancelled by us for wind or safety reasons are always rescheduled or refunded.

Hurghada gets wind for most of the year. The most consistent period runs through the summer, roughly May to September, with spring and autumn also very reliable and more comfortable in terms of air temperature. Winter has more variable days but still delivers plenty of sessions.

Yes — that is the main reason people learn here. The lagoon stays shallow a long way out, so when something goes wrong you can stand up and reset rather than swim. The prevailing northerly wind also arrives side-onshore, which is the safest direction for teaching.

Transfer to and from any hotel inside Hurghada is included free with courses and day use. If you are staying in Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh or El Gouna there is a €20 per car surcharge. Give us your hotel name when booking so we can schedule the pick-up.

You do not pay for a session you cannot use. If the wind is not workable we reschedule for the next usable slot during your stay at no extra cost. If your departure date makes rescheduling impossible, the unused hours are refunded. Wind decisions are made by the instructors, not the clock.

Swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sun cream and sunglasses with a strap. A light long-sleeve top is worth having — you are on the water for hours and the Red Sea sun is stronger than it feels in the wind. Everything technical is provided.

Instruction is available in English, German, Arabic, Polish and Russian. Tell us your preferred language when booking and we will assign an instructor who speaks it, subject to availability on your dates.

Yes, if you ride independently — you need to be able to ride upwind, self-launch and self-land. Choose your dates and items and we will confirm availability. A refundable deposit is held against the equipment, and an optional damage waiver is available.

You live aboard a yacht for the week and it anchors wherever the wind is best, so you ride flat lagoons that have no road access and almost no other riders. Tenders take you from the boat to the water. It suits independent riders — you should already ride upwind and self-launch.
