MY Anemone Turquoise was launched in 2023 and is one of the newest large yachts working the Egyptian Red Sea. Forty-five metres long across five decks, she carries up to 32 guests in sixteen cabins — every one with a private ensuite bathroom and central air conditioning.

The layout is built for time spent outdoors: a jacuzzi and sun lounges on the top deck, a shaded lounge aft, an indoor and an outdoor bar, and a dining salon serving local and international cooking. Wi-Fi is available onboard, though it weakens offshore.

For kite safaris the yacht moves between the flat lagoons of the Strait of Gubal, anchoring where the wind is best rather than following a fixed route. The kite configuration — instructors onboard, tenders, storage and equipment — is arranged per departure with the operator.

Questions about MY Anemone Turquoise

Is this a kite trip or a diving trip?
MY Anemone Turquoise runs both. On a kite safari the yacht anchors in the shallow lagoons of the Strait of Gubal and tenders take riders to the spot with the best wind that day. Diving-specific services such as tanks, nitrox and dive guides are not part of a kite package unless the operator adds them.
What level do I need to join a kite safari?
You should be riding upwind independently and able to self-launch and self-land. Lagoon anchorages are flat and shallow, but you are away from a beach and rely on a tender pick-up, so full independence matters more than it does at the centre.
Can a non-riding partner come?
Yes. Cabins are shared on a double basis and there is plenty aboard for a non-rider — jacuzzi, sun deck, shaded lounge and the bars. Tell us when booking so we can put the cabin and the trip price together properly.
Do all cabins have a private bathroom?
Yes. All sixteen cabins have a private ensuite bathroom and central air conditioning, and linens and towels are provided.
Is there Wi-Fi onboard?
There is Wi-Fi onboard, but expect it to be weak or unavailable once you are offshore. Plan on being largely offline during the trip.

Something not covered? Send us the question and we will get the answer from the operator.
