Reef boots matter more in the Red Sea than almost anywhere else — much of the coastline is sharp coral or rock, and a cut foot ends a holiday quickly. These use a 3 mm neoprene upper with a reinforced rubber sole thick enough to stop coral but thin enough that you can still feel the board through your footpads. The split-toe design improves grip and stops the boot rotating on your foot during a waterstart. A glued and blind-stitched seam construction keeps water movement down, which also adds warmth on cooler winter mornings. Size them snug; a loose bootie fills with sand and rubs.
