About this spot
El Gouna is the best-known kite destination on this stretch of coast — a purpose-built resort town roughly 25 kilometres north of Hurghada, built around lagoons and a wide, shallow bay.
The riding area is big and mostly waist to chest deep, with flat water in the protected sections and more chop out towards the mouth of the bay. Wind is northerly and reliable through the season, and the bay is large enough to absorb the crowds it attracts.
We are based in Hurghada, not El Gouna. If you are staying there, transfers to our centre cost €20 per car.
When it works
Highlighted months are the strongest, most consistent stretch at El Gouna. The rest of the year still delivers sessions — it is simply less predictable.
