Giftun Islands

The Giftun Islands lie a short boat ride offshore from Hurghada and are the most recognisable feature of the local seascape. Around them are shallow sandbanks and clear turquoise channels that can offer excellent riding when the wind direction lines up.

The islands sit inside a protected area, so access and landing are regulated and boat trips operate under permit. Riding here is a wind-and-permission call rather than a guaranteed stop — ask us on the day.
